We’re so excited to see you in Copenhagen!

"If Copenhagen were a person, that person would be generous, beautiful, and with a flair. A human being that has a certain propensity for purpose, filled with imagination and with an appetite for the new and with respect for the old - somebody who takes good care of things and people." - C. Nielsen

Arrival in Copenhagen

Be sure to set your clocks—in Copenhagen, you’re on Central European Time (CET), which is +9 hours ahead of Pacific Time (PST) for most of the year.

Trip Start

Our experience begins at 3:30 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Skt. Petri Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Arrival Airport

The closest airport is Copenhagen Airport (CPH), a 20-minute drive from our hotel.

Arrival Flights

Here are two flights that will get you in on time for our start.  We recommend either flying in on the 13th or ensuring that you land no later than 1 PM local on the 14th. For example:

Transfer from Airport

Once you have booked your flights, please email Janet with a copy of your itineraryWe will provide a complementary group transfer from the Copenhagen airport to the hotel on September 14, and from the hotel to the airport on September 17.

Pre-Transfer from Airport

If you're arriving early, and like a private transfer please contact Janet and we can arrange this for you at a cost of $180 one way. Or you can organize your taxi upon arrival at CPH airport. Taxis are easy to find: Once you clear security and collect your bags, head to the arrivals hall at the main level of the terminal. Typically, transport to the city center costs a flat rate (roughly $50). The Metro is another way to get to the hotel, and super easy. To get to Copenhagen's city center by metro you ride the M2 line from terminal 3 to Nørreport Station, which is the central metro station of Copenhagen, (roughly $5). Then it's a 2 min walk to the hotel from the Nørreport Station.

Pre-Arrival Accommodations

We stay in a unique, in-demand hotel on this trip—rooms go fast, and daily rates change frequently. If you plan to arrive in Copenhagen before the beginning of our journey, we recommend staying at Skt. Petri (see Our Accommodations), which is also our meeting spot on Day One. Please contact Modern Adventure if you’d like to book a pre-trip night accommodation at the Skt. Petri. The cost is $450 per night. With booking with us, we will try to avoid unnecessary room changes, allowing you to stay in the same room from start to finish—however, please note that this is not always an option and room types vary and are subject to change.

If our hotel is full, we also recommend the Hotel Sanders, The Socialist, Nobis Copenhagen. All hotels are close to central Copenhagen's shopping, dining, and entertainment.
